Confirmation Bias

* Life is mastering the art of fooling yourself of the fake importance of your actions.

* Confirmation Bias is a tendency of people to favor information that confirms their preconceptions or hypotheses regardless of whether the information is true. We are equipped with that ability by nature, as if evolution expected the negative side of having a brain and provided us with safety mechanisms, we see this bias evident in everything, like an old friend you had that changed later on but you keep around anyway, a job that you thought that it will be great but it is consuming your life, a marriage that shouldn't have lasted for more than a year but lasts for a life time. Life is a very tricky game to be managed passively, we should constantly update our perceptions on the new available data, we should allow our life to be efficient and reflect this new data and actively mange our investments by doing actions such as deleting a friend or a person that no longer provides utility, change a job that is no longer feasible.
